My new Hell's Bay Professional is nearing completion. I chose the pro since I am basing my guide service in South Carolina again and wanted to get as shallow as possible. The pro is 17'8" and 70" wide with a draft of 5". I went with a 70 Yamaha four stroke for power. I have had this motor on 4 other skiffs and I am very impressed by its performance and light weight. This motor should push the pro at 38mph top end which is plenty for every day use. This is the first skiff in a long time that I have had a trolling motor on. I had a removable min Kota ipilot on a removable bracket installed for plug fishing in the heavy current in the South Carolina bays and creeks. I chose a dead grass green hull and a moon dust deck with black powder coating. I have been wanting to try this color combination for a long time. This is going to be a great skiff for my clients in all the locations that I fish in.
