Winter is a great time of year here in South Carolina. The best thing about this season is that our water turns crystal clear. Reds group of into big schools and on sunny days it's an experience like no other.
The biggest obstacle can be the weather. Windy and cloudy days will make fly conditions tough to impossible. Luckily we still have plenty of days that we can fish.
During the winter a lot of the schools will have some very big fish in them. I usually catch my biggest fish of the year during the winter and spring.
If you haven't fished a winter day in the lowcountry it is a must for anyone that enjoys sightfishing.
